Special Weather Statement issued April 30 at 11:53PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV Dense fog is currently developing and will continue to develop overnight into the morning, especially as cloud cover clears and winds decrease. Visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less will be likely, especially along the river valleys. A dense fog advisory may be needed later if conditions worsen and become more widespread. Fog will gradually lift out after sunrise Wednesday morning. Fog, with visibility below a half mile at times, will require lower speeds, and greater distances between vehicles. Do not assume the road ahead is unobstructed. Slow down, use low beam headlights, and allow more time to reach your destination safely.
