Special Weather Statement issued May 11 at 3:32AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN Relative humidity is expected to drop to between 20 to 25 percent this afternoon due to clear skies and efficient mixing within the boundary layer. Winds will be the limiting factor sustained at 5-10mph gusting to 15-20mph out of the south to southwest. The low relative humidity could result in quick ignition of fires, however the winds being relatively weak should keep conditions from reaching Red Flag criteria. Check with your county or the DNR to see if there are any burn restrictions in place before starting fires.
