In southern Florida, Glades and Hendry. In southwest Florida, Coastal Collier County, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 9 inches with isolated amounts up to 11 inches have fallen over South Florida since Tuesday morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are still forecast to fall over South Florida through Friday evening. Flood Advisory issued June 12 at 5:08PM EDT until June 12 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Miami-Dade. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 508 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Miami, Homestead, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Homestead Miami Speedway, Black Point, The Redland, Turkey Point, Homestead General Airport, Kendall, Pinecrest, Florida City, West Miami, Homestead Base, Princeton, Naranja, Leisure City, Goulds and Homestead Bayfront Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
