Heat Advisory issued June 10 at 1:45PM PDT until June 13 at 6:00AM PDT by NWS Hanford CA * WHAT...High temperatures up to 105 degrees expected. * WHERE...San Joaquin Valley, lower Sierra Nevada foothills, Kern River Valley, and the West Side Mountains south of Highway 198. * WHEN...From 11 AM Tuesday to 6 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very warm overnight temperatures will keep heat stress impacts probable. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
