special weather statement in effect A series of successive storms are expected to impact BC's North Coast this weekend and next week. The first system is bringing rain to the north coast today and tonight, with near 40 mm of rain expected. From Sunday night to Monday, another system will approach the north coast. There is still uncertainty regarding the location of the highest rainfall accumulation, but current models would indicate that Stewart, Kitimat and possibly Prince Rupert could meet rainfall warning criteria.
