For the Fire Weather Watch, from Friday morning through Friday evening. * WINDS...West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 4 percent. * RFTI...7 or extreme, or higher. * IMPACTS...Avoid the use of open flames or any activities that may generate sparks, such as outdoor burning or welding. Extinguish cigarettes in vehicles. Accidental ignitions will have the potential to grow into dangerous wind-driven wildfires. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will increase potential for fire growth. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution and keep both hands on the steering wheel. Secure loose objects that could be damaged or blown away by strong winds.
