Coastal Del Norte; Northern Humboldt Coast; Southwestern Humboldt

...HIGH SURF WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM SUNDAY TO 9 PM
MONDAY...
* WHAT...Dangerously large breaking waves up to 30 feet.
* WHERE...Del Norte and Humboldt county coast.
* WHEN...From 9 PM Sunday to 9 PM Monday.
* IMPACTS...Breaking waves can sweep people off jetties and
docks, and into dangerous seas. Life-threatening surfing
conditions and significant beach erosion can be expected.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Large breaking waves along the coast will lead to increased wave
run-up on beaches with waves topping and washing over large rocks
and jetties. These large waves can be erratic and unpredictable.
Use extra caution near the surf zone as these large waves will be
capable of sweeping people into the frigid and turbulent ocean
water. Mariners traversing the bar are urged to exercise extreme
caution or stay in port until the threat subsides. Please contact
the Coast Guard for information regarding harbor and bar closures.

Flood Watch issued October 22 at 11:23PM PDT until October 24 at 2:00PM PDT by NWS Eureka

Northern Humboldt Coast

.An atmospheric river is forecast to focus over northwestern
California during Sunday before shifting southward Sunday night
or Monday. Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected
with this system on top of areas where soils have been saturated
from recent rains.
...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of northwest California, including the following
areas, Coastal Del Norte, Del Norte Interior, and Northern
Humboldt Coast.
* From late Saturday night through Sunday evening
* 1.5 to 3 inches of rain are forecast to fall Sunday in coastal
and valley locations, with 3 to 4 inches possible in the
coastal mountains. Heavy rain combined with saturated soil
from recent rains across the mountains will contribute toward
possible small stream and urban flooding.
* Low lying areas, creeks, streams, culverts, and portions of
urban areas may experience flooding due to heavy rainfall.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
