Time span: Thursday into Friday morning. Maximum wind gusts: northerly 80 km/h. Remarks: A period of accumulating snow is expected on Thursday afternoon and evening with strengthening northerly winds, before a transition to rain follows as temperatures rise Thursday night. Freezing rain or ice pellets may occur over some areas during the changeover. While there is too much uncertainty to forecast snowfall accumulations at this time, total amounts may be significant for this time of year over some locations. Anyone considering travel should be prepared for winter driving conditions.
